DEDICATION AND SERVICE TO OUR CLIENTS
Colette Cribari has a well-known and respected reputation as a skilled trial attorney in the Denver and Boulder areas. Over the years she has successfully tried several high-profile homicide cases before Boulder and Denver juries, as well as other types of felonies, misdemeanors and DUI's. She is known for her attention to detail and careful preparation at every stage of proceedings, including bond hearings, pretrial motions, hearings on search and seizure issues, and at trials before juries. As a former prosecutor, she understands the weaknesses and strengths of every case from both sides. This gives her the unique ability to plan effective courtroom strategies and successfully negotiate cases for the best possible outcome for her clients.
Colette is a Colorado native who grew up in north Denver before coming to Boulder to attend the University of Colorado, where she obtained a degree in journalism. Colette worked for a short time as a newspaper reporter before returning to the University of Colorado Law School for her law degree. Colette had a desire to be a trial attorney from her first day at law school. She paid her way through law school by working as a law clerk for trial attorneys. She was highly interested in criminal law and had an article published in the prestigious University of Colorado Law Review about illegal searches of law offices before she had even passed the bar to become a lawyer.
Since 1983, Colette has handled thousands of every type of criminal case, from traffic offenses and DUIs, to the most serious felonies. She has tried more than 75 criminal cases, including first degree murder, child abuse resulting in death, sexual assaults, burglaries, simple and serious assaults, vehicular homicides, large drug distribution cases, domestic violence, and DUIs. As a prosecutor, Colette handled some of the most serious cases in the Boulder District Attorney's Office. She was involved in training police officers and understands the philosophies and perspectives of prosecutors and the law enforcement community, including the police, bond investigators, probation officers and judges. She has devoted her 25-year legal career exclusively to the practice of criminal law. Colette places a high emphasis on her relationships with her clients and has a reputation for providing excellent legal services.
Colette is also devoted to giving back to the community through community service. She and her family helped build raised vegetable gardens for the Boulder Homeless Shelter. Her family is currently planning a memorial garden for a high school teacher who succumbed to cancer. Colette has also volunteered for the Humane Society, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She volunteers at her childrens' schools and is active in her church.
